Checked my certificates, marksheets and all documents, and discovered the loss of my marksheet, rang at home, friends, room partners. Everyone had the same answer, “Tumne kho di hai marksheet”. It was my B.tech second year marksheet, which i finally accept is lost, and am into a process of getting a duplicate from university. It’s just very simple, if you want someone to realize his mistake or carelessness(this is what i think which is just opposite to what university thinks).
University lays down some steps to get a duplicate marksheet, they are as follows :
- Get an affidavit from a Megistrate or a notary, stating that you have lost your markhseet, mentioning your details etc.
- Get a copy of the newspaper where you have published a notice, in regard to your lost marksheet.
- Lodge an FIR, get a copy of it.
- Get a demand draft of Rs.100/-
- Fill up the application form for the issue of duplicate document, which you can download from uptu.org
- All the above clubbed together are to be given to college’s registrar/Dean/Head/Director, which ever way your college works, and you are done to wait for a month or two.
To go with the above process it also needs some money, which would range from 500-800. It all depends on the choice of newspaper and the size of the column.
Isn’t it a very simple process, man why did i lost my marksheet, why am i so careless?
This post simply alerts you and suggests that let the marksheets be kept safely in the college office, and keep a printout of every semester result with you. Are yaar i didn’t even had a printout of 3rd and 4th semester results, though found that of 4th sem, but be careful.
