Google unveiled another service by which you can get answers to your query by just sending an SMS to google. The good thing in this is that, ordinary phones which don’t even have GPRS
on them can enjoy atleast the Google search.

Follow simple steps to enjoy this service :
1. Type in ‘help’.
2. Send it to 9-77-33-00000 and the service is activated for your phone.

Remember the query are only for only some search features :

Ubuntu Goes Mobile

A version of the popular Ubuntu Linux operating system is coming later this year for mobile internet devices and subnotebooks. Canonical, the commercial sponsor of Ubuntu, has said it plans to demonstrate the new version, Ubuntu Netbook Remix, at the Computex trade show in Taiwan this week.

Ubuntu Netbook Remix is built to provide a superb user experience leveraging Ubuntu’s reputation for delivering operating systems that ‘just work’ in the desktop environment. The remix is based on the standard Ubuntu Desktop Edition but with a launcher that allows users to get on-line more quickly and have faster access to their favourite applications. Ubuntu Netbook Remix will enable device manufacturers to get to market rapidly with a compelling software solution on netbooks, as they have a standard user interface (UI) that is built on a widely used operating system underpinned by a globally recognised brand. Canonical is also working with ISVs to ensure that popular desktop applications are certified on Ubuntu, and will run on the Ubuntu Netbook Remix.

Smaller devices based on Intel’s Atom processor have proved popular with PC makers recently. Manufacturers such as Acer and others are planning such devices.The Ubuntu release, expected later this year, will be based on the standard Ubuntu Desktop Edition and reworked for Atom-based mobile devices, Canonical said.The company said it is working with a number of original equipment manufacturers but did not identify those companies.

The Ubuntu announcement was expected. Canonical chief executive Mark Shuttleworth mentioned Netbook Remix in an interview with The Guardian last month.
